Nach dem grossen Besucherrekord in Lissabon mit einer Million Besuchern ist die Star Wars Ausstellung nun auch in Matosinhos bei Porto, auf dem Ausstellungsgelände Exponor zu sehen.
Die Ausstellung geht noch bis einschliesslich 15. April.
Ursprüngliches Eröffnungsdatum war der 2. Februar aber an diesem Tag waren wegen Unzulänglichkeiten in der
Organisation die Türen noch geschlossen und man wurde mit dem lapidaren Hinweis, dass keine Sicherheitskräfte vorhanden wären, abgewimmelt.
Die Ausstellung befindet sich in einer ca. 1000qm grossen Halle und beinhaltet zahlreiche Modelle aus allen sechs Episoden der Star Wars Saga. Die Abschnitte sind thematisch nach Szenen der Filme aufgeteilt. So gibt es Räume für Tatooine, Coruscant, Naboo, Genosis, dem Hoth System, dem Todestern und dem Waldmond Endor.
Alle Modelle, sowie lebensgrosse Puppen in Kleidern der Schauspiele, sind hinter Glasvitrininen zu bewundern.
Die grösseren Modelle der Podracer stehen frei im Raum nur abgetrennt durch eine Absperrung. Hier kann man am besten die Details der Modelle, ohne störende Glasscheibe, wie sie in den Filmen zu sehen sind studieren.

Fazit:
Auf der Ausstellung sind viele Modelle zu sehen, aber leider keine Akteure, die in den Gewändern der Filmhelden dem Publikum begegnen. Leider ist die Ausstellung nicht komplett, da ein Teil der Requisiten in einem anderen Land Europas gezeigt wird. Für Star Wars Fans aber absolut zu empfehlen!

Im Centro de Cultura e Congressos da Ordem dos Médicos in Porto findet zur Zeit eine Bilderausstellung des Künstlers Luis Filipe Rodrigues statt.
Seine Werke sind dort noch bis einschliesslich 30.1.2007 zu sehen.

Luis Filipe Rodrigues, welcher zwischen 1990 und 1996 an der Universität der Künste in Porto studierte und dort auch seinen Abschluss für plastische Kunst absolvierte, stellt dort acht seiner Werke vor, die auch käuflich zu erwerben sind.

“Art is an objective issue, not a subjective issue. When you use several kinds of materials you do not think about their meaning, you think about their appearance. What is subjective is the process which is only yours, no one does art using the same methods. You run to find out new things that nobody ever saw. You make discovers about images.
